About School

  • The construction of present building of Cantonment Board High School was started in the year 1930, at the cost of  Rs. 5000/-, which was donated by one Seth Vallabhdas. The work was completed in 1936.
  • The Board maintains one High School and five (03 Marathi, 01 Urdu & 01 Hindi Medium) Primary Schools, one english medium Primary School and eight balwadis in various areas.
  • The Board has also started semi english medium school, School for illeterate adults and children of labours working at Construction Site.
  • Mid-day meal is provided to all the students including Balwadis.
  • Implemented RTE Act.
  • Free Uniform, Shoes, School Bags, Study and Writing material to all students.
  • Free Annual Health Checkup of all students.
  • Free Bicycles to Girls Students residing remote areas.

The Remedial & Training Centre named as ‘Ankur’ for children with mental disabilities inaugurated at Cantonment General Hospital on 07.05.2010 at the auspicious hands of Lt.Gen. Vinod Nayanar, Commandant, School of Artillery, Deolali. A special Survey has been been conducted for identifying children with special needs in Deolali Cantt. Presently forty children from Cantonment area are identified. The preliminary assessment of these children is conducted through number of sittings and various tests by a Trained Clinical Psychologist and counselor.
